The Tal-Harrub units are located in one
building situated in a very quiet street
in the tranquil village of Kerċem. Enjoying one
common entrance, shown in the above photo, each
unit is independent, separate and
self-contained, built in the local rustic
style, with wooden beams, but with all the
normal amenities, each unit enjoys a separate
and unobservable private swimming
pool, a sun-bathing area and a barbeque area. The garage
shown forms part of the Tal-Ħarrub complex and is
not used when the units are rented.

Unit Description
 |
|
The Tal-Harrub
Unit 2 is situated on the second floor and
includes the use of the roof of the complex
which has been converted as a roof garden and is where
the pool is located.

This unit is
luxuriously furnished throughout, has more
than 100m² of living area that is roofed over.
This interior
area is built in rustic style with
characteristic wooden roof beams throughout
as can be seen from the following

In
order to access this unit, the guest
goes though the ornate front gate shown
in the top photo. Here there is a very
short flight of stairs which leads to
the unit's separate front door.
On opening this door one finds another flight of
stairs that lead to this sumptious unit. At the
top of the stairs is another door
opening up into a spacious hall shown in
the top photograph.
On the left hand side one finds an enormous
open plan
room which is divided into two areas:
the kitchen and dining area and the
lounge area. In the kitchen one finds
all the
equipment that one normally finds in a

including cover for 8 persons.
The table is of carved pinewood and
easily sits 8 persons comfortably.
The
lounge area is very spacious and furnished
in dark-tinted pine. One feature is the setee
shaped after a padded monk's bench. A multi-channel
cable TV is provided for our guests'
entertainment. This has many
English channels.
Leading off this area, through two
enormous, four -paneled walk-through
French windows, is a wide fronted
terrace equipped with out-door furniture for al-fresco
meals - see the

adjacent photo. A sun-umbrella is
provided to provide shade during the
day.
From this terrace one
can enjoy a fantastic panorama of
the Lunzjata valley including the 13th
century Grandmaster's chapel and the
recently restored Grandmaster's Lodge
(both very much still in use today) and
the surrounding area which is full of
Roman tombs.
On the right-hand side one can see the
village of Fontana, whilst on the right
a great view of greater Victoria, its
towering Citadel and cathedral, as well
as the surrounding countryside including
two hills.
|
|
 |
|
Leading upward from this terrace is a spiral
staircase (the railing of which can be seen
in the terrace picture) and which leads to the
roof-garden.
This area by itself exceeds
100m² in area and is attressed
with statues, a gazebo (see adjacent
photo), a barbeque area,
sun-lounging area and a large
private pool from which one can

observe
the surrounding 360° panorama. To
access the pool one climbs a short
flight of steps.
Although the pool
gives access to a fantastic panorama
of the surroundings, it does not
permit one to peek into the pool
area of unit 1.
As if this was not enough, near the
pool area is also a bathroom
complete with a shower, WC and a
wash-hand-basin. |
|
 |
|
On the right side of the entrance hall, one finds the rest of this sumptuous
unit. The first room that one finds
leading off this hall, on the right-hand
side, is a completely equipped
bathroom that also includes a washing
machine for our guests' use.
Further
down the central corridor one
finds the first bedroom. |
|
 |
|
This is furnished
in carved Mexican pine and in it one
finds a king sized double-bed a
wardrobe and two commodes. On each
commode is a individual reading lamp
should our guests prefer to read in
bed.
Leading off this
bedroom is another adjoining
en-suite bathroom complete with all
amenities.
|
|
 |
|
A
little further down this corridor one finds another bedroom,
again furnished in carved Mexican pine, but
this time the configuration is twin 90cm wide wooden beds,
wardrobe and two commodes.
This bedroom also has an
adjoining en-suite bathroom.
|
|
 |
|
This corridor leads to the
sitting / conversation nook that is equipped
with
comfortable rattan sofas and a coffee table -
as can be seen from the adjacent photo.
From here one can access the other two bedrooms,
both with ensuites. |
|
 |
|
The furniture this time
is in "ferro
battuto" (Italian for beaten iron).
The main bedroom is configured with
a very confortable king-sized
worked-iron bed, a wooden (pine)
wardrobe and bed-side wooden
cupboards. |
|
 |
|
The second bedroom is configured as
a twin bed room. The very
confortable worked-iron beds are
90cm wide. Here one also finds two
wooden (pine) bed-side commodes, a
wardrobe and a commode / dresser
complete with a large mirror. Again
the wooden furniture is pine and is
carved and hand-built. |
